Women's Racing
The mission behind the idea of a woman’s racing team is to honor Penny Chenery, who jumped in with both feet and rode to victory against all odds and never gave up even when it seemed impossible. She believed when others didn’t. She proved a valid point in life. Penny has inspired women around the world for her tenacity and hard-core determination to prove that with faith, "all things are possible". She maneuvered in a man’s arena long before the woman’s movement of equality began to insist on a change of attitude about women’s role in America.
By joining our women’s racing team, you will join forces with a group of women horse lovers around the globe to commit to creating another gene-pool of Secretariat descendants beginning with one of his last producing daughters from his last crop, a granddaughter and several great-great granddaughters bred back to proven champion bloodlines like: Midnight Lute, Majestic Warrior, Munnings, Leroidesanimaux, Exclusive Quality, General Quarters. The more members we acquire, the higher quality stallions we can breed to in order to renew the Secretariat gene-pool and keep his bloodline going strong.
Currently, we have two Secretariat grandsons, Secretariat’s Glory and a new un-named colt born on May Day of this year. Secretariat’s Glory and his pasture mate, My Storm Trooper (great-great grandson) will race under, Crown of Glory Racing, LLC. My Storm Trooper has made his racing debut at Gulfstream Park, FL and has “been in the money” for all five starts and broke his maiden on Feb 1st. He will now move up in class for his next race, March 1st. Secretariat’s fire has yet to run his first race after a training injury in Ocala, but will reunite with My Storm Trooper at Gulfstream as soon as his vet gives him a clearance to return to “on the race track training”.
